Summer Oldstice
Summer Oldstice is the ultimate celebration of summer in Uptowne Olds! Taking place in the middle weekend of June, this event attracts hundreds of people each year.
We block off part of the main drag for The Mountain View Pistons’ Show N Shine, and this is your chance to make your business shine too!
Decorate your storefront, offer sidewalk sales, or organize fun activities for the kids. Don’t miss out on this beloved street party that brings joy to all.
Halloween Howl
Halloween Howl is the most spooktacular event of the year. On the Saturday closest to Halloween Uptowne Olds hosts a Halloween event like none other. There is a haunted house, a pumpkin smash, pumpkin carving, mysteries to solve, and, of course, candy for everyone.
Parents bring their kids by the hundreds to partake in activities. Every Uptowne Olds member gets a supply of Halloween candy to hand out to the little goblins.
Get into the spirit and decorate your business and watch hundreds of kids (and their parents) come through your business. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled opportunity to engage with the community.
Midnight Madness
Midnight Madness is one of the biggest attractions of Olds Fashioned Christmas and is a great opportunity to entice shoppers to get a jump on their Christmas shopping.

Every year, Uptowne Olds creates a comprehensive printed map showcasing our events on one side and features a detailed map on the other side.
Your business is prominently listed in the Legend of the map, clearly marked with a color-coded dot at your specific location. This ensures that customers can easily locate your business.
Moreover, the map is extensively distributed to all hotels, Uptowne Olds participating members, and is handed out at significant tourist events in Olds. This widespread distribution guarantees that visitors and locals can effortlessly find your business.

Beautification Projects
One of the goals of Uptowne Olds is to enhance the charm of the Uptowne Olds neighborhood. To create a more visually pleasing atmosphere, we have strategically placed teal coloured Adirondack chairs and beautiful seasonal planters throughout the area.
Last year, we invested in purchasing and installing lights that were wrapped around the lamp posts, and we are presently in the process of completing this project for all the poles.
In 2024, we are investigating two additional endeavors to further improve the area. These include enhancing the signage and introducing a new mural.

Uptowne Olds works with other local organizations like the Town and Olds Regional Exhibition, as well as those with a regional influence like Mountain View Arts Society and Travel Alberta. We connect with these interests to establish collaboration on events, campaigns, initiatives and opportunities for our members.
